FEU - EAC prides itself for being an educational institution that traces its roots to the initiatives of the industry. Its polytechnic curricula, which is complemented with a 3-8 months internship program is one of its academic advantages since it provide the students a much needed immersion in their future line of work; hence the catchphrase “Where Industry Meets Academe”. Aside from this, careful consideration was taken in developing the English communication skills of the students, offering as much as 21 units of English courses in contrast with the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) requirement of 9 units. This is supported further by the presence of the English Resource Center, which is available to all students. These two initiatives are its strongest points and have definitely been major factors for the College to be recognized by CHED as a Center of Development for Technology Education.

 

GRADUATES OF CHOICE

An FEU – EAC alumnus is envisioned to have a strong set of technology skills which are at par with industry standards. The College has initiated and nurtured close partnerships with its 146 industry partners not only for internship and employment purposes, but for the timely feedback of what industry demands from professionals. The industry’s input is given much weight as evident in the yearly revision of curricula to accommodate the industry’s pace in technology evolution. Moreover, faculty members are immersed in the industry to be able to teach from experience, and not merely from theory. Ultimately, the College aims to produce board topnotchers in the Engineering Licensure Examinations and globally competitive IT professionals.

Aside from skills, another differentiating factor of an FEU – EAC alumnus is his having been oriented in values. On top of the usual values-related subjects which are made part of the curricula, FEU – EAC created a Professional Ethics course which prepares the non-skill facets of its students. The College believes in producing professionals which are not only productive members of the workforce, but also endeavors to succeed using the right means and ultimately becoming positive contributors in building the nation.
